Bollywood top actress Alia Bhatt and Sanjay Leela Bhansali are going to the unit for another project, based on the life of gangster Gangubai Kothewali. Few days ago, in an interview, Alia Bhatt has revealed that her dream directors are SS Rajamouli and Sanjay Leela Bhansali. She is already on the board to play the female lead in Rajamouli’ upcoming directorial venture RRR which has Ram Charan and Jr NTR in the lead roles.
Alia Bhatt fans were disappointed after the actress’ film Inshallah with Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Salman Khan was shelved weeks after its announcement. But now the fans are on the ninth cloud as once again Alia Bhatt has teamed up with Sanjay Leela Bhansali for upcoming movie Gangubai, based on a chapter from ‘Mafia Queens of Mumbai’, a novel authored by S Husain Zaidialt.
Alia Bhatt will play Crime Lord Gangubai, based on the life of female gangster Gangubai Kothewali. The dreaded female crime-lord is also known as ‘The Madame Of Kamathipura’.
The pre-production work of the film has been started and the film is likely to go on floors in mid-October whereas the shoot is likely to start in the month of February.
On the other side, it is expected that Alia Bhatt will join the sets of RRR from the next month.
