Saaho result is a hard-hitting lesson to Prabhas and Co where we cannot increase the budget as we like just for the sake we have craze and market. The story has to demand the budget. We cannot decide it. Saaho was first scheduled to be made in a budget of 50 crores. But after Baahubali released, the Prabhas market multi-folded many times. With that, Saaho makers regrouped again and increased the budget 5 times. With the budget available because of the Prabhas market, they chose foreign locales, high octane action sequences where it is really not necessary and costliest locations for songs. Saaho was made with a budget of close to 300 crores. While the Hindi version managed to recover the business, other languages including Telugu are huge disasters. With the lesson learned hard way, Prabhas, and producers for their next movie Jaan which has already completed a schedule has made changes to the script. They have taken cost-cutting measures and decided to make the movie in a decent budget.

As said earlier, a single schedule of the film’s shoot has been completed in Austria and the unit as per schedule needs to fly to picturesque locales of Hungary and Austria. But now they have changed the decision and are recreating the locales of Hungary and Austria with sets being erected in Ramoji Film City. With this decision, already 20 to 30 crores has been saved as shooting in Europe is a tough task for the producer as shooting cost is very high there. All the cast and crew have to be accommodated in 5-star hotels. Even food charges have to be bear by the producer.

Now, Jaan will be shot in Ramoji Film City, with the few locales being erected and the rest can be managed with VFX. Jaan stars Pooja Hegde in the female lead role and is being directed by Radha Krishna Kumar of Jill fame.
