After delivering Baahubali series, Young Rebel star Prabhas came up with action thriller drama Saaho, which was released last year on the occasion of Independence day and received the mixed response by the critics. Though its Hindi version was huge hit but the Telugu version was ended up commercially flop at the box office. The dubbed Hindi version of Saaho made it television debut on 26th January 2020 on the occasion of Republic day. Saaho Hindi Version’ first Television broadcast was done on Zee TV network’ channel Zee Cinema and Prabhas starrer was allotted the prime time slot of 8 pm on 26th January Sunday. The movie received good response from the TV viewers. According to BARC, Saaho gathered around 128.20 Lakh viewership impressions on its first telecast on Zee Cinema.
Before its Television debut, Saaho had already made its digital premiere. The non Hindi version of Prabhas and Sharaddha Kapoor starrer made its digital premier on Amazon Prime Video on 19th October 2019 and the Hindi version made its digital premiere on Netflix on 8th December 2020.
Saaho was the second directorial venture of Sujeeth. Apart from the lead pair, Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor, the film also has Mandira Bedi, Jackie Shroff, Chunky Pandey, Arun Vijay, Lal in the supporting roles.
