Saamy Square, directed by Hari, is one of the most awaited movie of the year, currently the film is in the final stage of its production. Chiyaan Vikram is playing the lead role and will be seen in cop avatar. Saamy 2 features Keerthy Suresh as the female lead with Bobby Simha playing the prime antagonist alongside John Vijay. The makers have released the motion poster of Saamy Square. The 1 minute 9 seconds long video introduces Vikram’s character. Going by the motion poster of Saamy Square, one should expect a perfect mass masala action entertainer. Chiyaan Vikram is being compared as Lord Siva. Suddenly a clay statue come alive, creaks and reveals Chiyaan Vikram as Saamy. Chiyaan Vikram is stealing the show in this motion poster.
Saamy Square is the sequel to the Vikram’s 2003 film – Saamy , written and directed by Hari, presented by K. Balachander and produced by Pushpa Kandasamy under banner Kavithalayaa Productions, was one of the biggest hits in Tamil Cinema. Saamy Square’s music is scored by sensational music composer Devi Sri Prasad.
It is heard that Chiyaan Vikram will be seen in two different get-ups in Saamy Square and one of them has already been revealed by the makers. Reportedly, Chiyaan Vikram will be seen essaying a character named A Ramasamy, son of the daredevil cop Aarusaamy, from the film Saamy. The trailer of Saamy Square will be out on 26th May.
The shooting of Saamy Square was delayed due to the industry strike that lasted for 48 days. However, the makers have already wrapped up 80 % of the shoot of Saamy Square.
Saamy Square is expected to hit the screens in June.
