Sabu Cyril is a film production designer. He has won the National Film Award for Best Production Design 4 times, Filmfare Award for Best Art Direction five times . His work in Enthiran won him international recognition. Over the years, he has emerged to be the most expensive and celebrated art director in the country. He has worked with number of top directors of South Indian film Industry including SS Rajamouli. His previous movie was RRR in which Young Tiger Jr NTR and Ram Charan played the lead roles.
Recently during the media interaction, Sabu Cyril spoke about RRR success and its collections at the box office. The production designer said that Rajamouli clearly knew that RRR wouldn’t be as big as his previous offering Baahubali series- Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion from day one and treated it the same way. That is the reason, he focused on drama and emotions than the grandeur of the film. RRR broke Baahubal’s collections in Telugu but not worldwide.
On the otherside, Rajamouli has already announced his next project with Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu which is expected to go on the floor by the end of this year. Currently Mahesh Babu is basking in the glory of his recently released movie Sarkaru Vaari Paata.
