Days after heavy rainfall devastated Hyderabad city, killing more than 50 people, several areas in the metropolis received heavy showers on Saturday evening, triggering water-logging and traffic snarls. Singapur Township received 157.3 mm of rainfall. The Balanagar Lake breached its boundaries, and caused huge flash floods in nearby areas. The heavy rain also damaged Falaknuma bridge, that forced officials to shut that road.
The visuals showed cars and people getting washed away since the heavy rain started. Few videos showed people on their rooftops after floodwater entered their houses. Some areas in Hyd city received more than 150 mm rain through the day. The young and happening actor Vijay Devearkonda feeling sad as he is away from his city Hyderabad at this time.
Arjun Reddy star Vijay Deverakonda took to his Twitter and said, “Sad to be away at this hour, but I am thinking about all of people and praying for everyone.”
According to the report, more than 50 persons have died in the massive downpour that continued for days and assessed damage in Telangana is over Rs 6,000 Cr.
On the work front, Vijay Deverakonda will be seen in Puri Jagannadh’ directorial venture Fighter in which he will romance B- town girl Ananya Pandey.
