Last month Young Rebel Star Prabhas took up the Green India Challenge and planted saplings in his backyard at his home. he also shared the photographs on Facebook after he planted the saplings along with TRS Rajya Sabha member J Santosh Kumar.
Now this time Samantha Akkineni accepted Green India Challenge from her father-in-law Akkineni Nagarjuna, which was started by TRS Rajya Sabha member J Santosh Kumar as a means to create awareness among the people to plant trees and increase the green cover. Samantha Akkineni nominated her Mahanati co-star Keerthy Suresh and Rashmika Mandanna to take up the Green India Challenge challenge.
Majili and Oh Baby girl planted saplings along with family members at her residence in Jubilee Hills, and also requested her fans to support the good cause by planting saplings at their premises.
On the work front, Samantha was last seen playing the female lead in romantic movie Jaanu, in which she shared the screen space with Sharwanand. Jaanu, directed by Prem Kumar, was remake of Tamil superhit movie 96 in which Trisha Krishnan and Vijay Sethupathi played the lead roles. She will be next seen in Vignesh Shivan’ directorial venture which also has Nayantara and Vijay Sethupathi.
