Samantha Akkineni and Naga Chaitanya – the real life couple, are playing the lead role in upcoming movie Majili, which is being directed by Shiva Nirvana of Ninnu Kori fame. Recently during the media interaction, Naga Chaitanya opened up about Majili and said, “ In the movie we are acting as a married couple. Samantha is playing my wife. It’s a pleasant experience since we are playing our real life roles. In the movie, we play a troubled couple which keeps on fighting all the time. We quarrel a lot as part of the script. But in real life, We don’t fight at home, so it’s definitely an interesting experience shooting for Majili. “
Naga Chaitanya also said, “The makers have not yet decided the title of the film. Majili is the working title. There is a lot of time for title announcement’.”
Nagarjuna’s elder son Naga Chaitanya also opened up about Samantha and said, “Though we both (Naga Chaitanya and Samantha) are working together but we reach the location in separate cars. Why because, my wife Samantha takes more time than me for getting the desired look.”
After the marriage, this is the first time, when Samantha and Naga Chaitanya are working together for a movie. Recently a short video clip from the sets of Majili was leaked on the internet, in which Naga Chaitanya and Samantha were seen doing chit chatting.
On the otherside, Samantha, who was last seen in woman centric bilingual drama U Turn, is waiting for the release of her next upcoming movie Super Deluxe. Samantha is also in the talk of remake of Korean film Miss Granny, which will be helmed by Nandini Reddy. Meanwhile Akkineni Naga Chaitanya’s Savyasachi has hit the theaters todays. Niddhi Agerwal is playing the female lead and Madhavan is playing antagonist in the directorial venture of Chandoo Mondeti.
