Celebrities like Shruthi Haasan, Hrithik Roshan, Salman Khan, Anushka Sharma, Swara Bhaskar and others have been the victims of cyber-crime. Recently during media interaction, our South beauty Samantha Akkineni also opened up about Cyber Crime.
Samantha Akkineni is currently busy in the promotional activities of her upcoming movie Mahanati and ‘Irumbu Thirai’ (‘Abhimanyudu’) which are gearing up for grand release very soon. Recently Samantha attended an interview in Chennai and talked about Cyber Crime. Samantha said, “Thank God! I have never been a victim of Cyber Crime but my few friends have experienced it.” Samantha added, “It happens that we would be planning up for a trip and the very next minute would get personal SMS claiming that cheap hotels and tickets are available.” It means someone is keeping an eye on us, observing all the activities and getting personal information.
When Samantha was asked about a life without Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other social media sites, she said, “We have become addicted. Our movie Abhimanyudu/ Irumbu Thirai is based on Cyber Crime and will educate them on how to handle the social media without being succumbed to the web of issues.”
In Abhimanyudu, Samantha Akkineni is playing ‘Rathi Devi’. Samantha further said, “When I heard that script of Abhimanyudu, I was shocked and even feared to touch my phone. The way Mithran has shown the situation is inspiring and will enlighten more people. The audiences will definitely understand how bad the situation is over the leakage of privacy.”
Irumbu Thirai is science fiction thriller film directed by P. S. Mithran. Vishal is playing the lead role and the movie is scheduled to hit the theaters on 11th May.
