Now once again Samantha Akkineni is going to act with her father-in-law Akkineni Nagarjuna. According to the latest update, Samantha Akkineni has been roped in Manmadhudu 2 in which King Nagarjuna will be seen playing the lead role. This is the third time, both Samantha and Nagarjuna are going to work together.
Earlier they have shared the screen space in Akkineni family drama Manam and horror drama Raju Gari Gadhi 2. Now Samantha and Nagarjuna are planning to score hat trick with Manmadhudu 2.
Manmadhudu 2 will be helmed by actor turned director Rahul Ravindran, whose Chi La Sow did well at the box-office recently and is bankrolled by Akkineni Nagarjuna himself under the banner of Annapurna Studios. The regular shoot will be started from 15th March. The sources close to the film unit reveal that Samantha will make her screen presence only for 4-6 minutes and she will be seen during the climax. Sources added that her character will be crucial and results in a major turn in the story.
Nagarjuna starrer Manmadhudu, which was released in 2002, was a big hit. He played the role of a man who starts hating women after a tragic incident in his life but later falls for his assistant and greatly impressed the audience. The sources said that Nag was impressed with Rahul Ravindran’s writing and wanted to work with him that was the main reason, he roped the actor turned director to helm Manmadhudu 2.
On the otherside, currently Samantha Akkineni is busy in the shoot of her upcoming movie O Baby, in which Naga Shaurya is playing the lead role, in the direction of Nandini Reddy. Recently she has wrapped up the shoot of Majili. Apart from these movies, Samantha Akkineni will also be seen in Dil Raju’s production venture, the remake of Tamil drama 96.
