Samantha Akkineni is playing the female lead in an upcoming Telugu movie, the remake of Korean movies- Miss Granny. Its Telugu version will be directed by Nandini Reddy. It is known news that Samantha will be seen playing the role of 70 years old lady. According to the latest update, the makers have roped Rao Ramesh in this remake and he will be seen playing the role of Samantha Akkineni’s son. The sources say that Samantha’s granny character and Rao Ramesh as her son will be one of the major highlights of this film.
Rao Ramesh has been the part of several hit movies. He started his acting career with TV serial. Later he got an offer to act as the brother of Simran in Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Seema Simham in 2002, but failed to find film offers immediately after, despite being the son of an iconic actor. He moved back to Chennai and started acting in serials like Pavitra Bandham and Kalavari Kodalu. Although most TV actors resort to getting dubbed, Rao Ramesh continued to render his own dubbing which gave him an opportunity to hone his skills. In 2007, Rao Ramesh appeared in a small role in Okkadunnadu. Throughout the early 2010s, Rao Ramesh became a popular supporting actor and described that by 2015, he was in the best phase of his career. His popular movies are Magadheera, Duvvada Jagannadham, Agnyaathavaasi, Bharat Ane Nneu, Raju Gadu, RX 100, Devadas, Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava. Now Rao Ramesh is going to play important role in Samantha starrer.
Miss Granny remake , which has been tentatively titled as O Baby will be bankrolled by Suresh Babu in association with Sunitha Tati.
In Korean movie- Miss Granny, Na Moon-hee stars as a woman in her 70s who magically finds herself in the body of her 20-year-old self after having herself photographed at a mysterious photo studio. In O Baby Samantha is playing 70 years old lady and Rao Ramesh as her son.
