Kangana Ranaut starrer historic and war drama Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi , is running successfully at the box office. The movie was released on 25th January 2019, and competed with Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Thackeray. Number of celebrities have already showered their praises for the performance of Kangana Ranaut and now the name of South Indian actress Samantha Akkineni has also been added in the list. According to Samantha, Kangana Ranaut is her favourite hero.

Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh updated the box office figures on Twitter. He wrote on Twitter, “#Manikarnika is decent on crucial Mon. On its opening day, Manikarnika earned Rs 8.75 Cr.The film received good response in overseas markets during the weekend. It is known news currently Samantha Akkineni is also preferring performance oriented roles. Her previous offering the murder mystery drama U Turn, directed by Pawan Kumar was also woman centric movie and her performance was highlighted in the movie.
