On Saturday, the Akkineni couple Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya confirmed the split by issuing statements on their respective Instagram profiles. A Day later, Rangasthalam and Oh Baby fame actress Samantha changed the moniker on her social media profiles – it previously read S and now it just says her first name Samantha.
Now once again Samantha Akkineni is in the news headlines. In her latest Instagram story, the actress posted a video clip of the city lights at night seen through a flight window. She wrote:If I wanna change the world, I should change myself, I should make my bed, I should dust the shelf….Dreaming ’bout the things that I wanna do”.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya tied the knot in 2017 after dating for almost a decade. Before the wedding they worked together in Manam, Ye Maaya Chesave and Autonagar Surya. Post wedding they were seen in romantic and emotional drama Majili.
On the work front, Samantha will be seen working with Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathy in Tamil movie Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal which is helmed by Vignesh Shivan and is bankrolled by Seven Screen Studio in association with Vignesh Shivan’s Rowdy Pictures. She is also playing the titular role in Shaakuntalam, under the direction of Gunasekhar. Samantha has wrapped up the entire shoot of Shaakuntalam and currently the film is in the post production stage.
