Recently Samantha took to her social media sites and revealed that she has watched recently released Hollywood movie Joker. Samantha also posted a snap from the film Joker on her Instagram and said, “The Joker is the greatest film I have ever watched.” She also called Joaquin Phoenix- Legend.”
On the occasion of Diwali, Samantha also wished her fans and posted an image of her family featuring husband Akkineni Naga Chaitanya, father in law Nagarjuna, brother-in-law Akhil Akkineni and mother in law Amala Akkineni.
Joker is a psychological thriller drama, helmed by Todd Phillips, who co-wrote the screenplay with Scott Silver. Joaquin Phoenix is playing the role of Joker. The movie starring Robert De Niro, Zazie Beetz, Frances Conroy, Brett Cullen, Glenn Fleshler, Bill Camp, Shea Whigham, and Marc Maron. According to the traders report, Joker has earned 850 million dollars at the Worldwide box office, and it has crushed the collections record of “Deadpool”, which has minted $782 million . Joker was released in India on 2nd October.
On the other side, Samantha Akkineni was last seen in woman centric movie Oh Baby, directed by Nandini Reddy, which was a blockbuster at the box office. Samantha’ film Oh Baby is remake of Korean drama Miss Granny. The film also has Naga Shaurya, Lakshmi, Rajendra Prasad in the lead roles and it has the music by Mickey J. Meyer.
About Oh Baby, Samantha has said in an interview, “Comedy is a very difficult craft for me. It’s always about getting the timing right and in the process, you feel exhausted. Rajendra Prasad garu helped me on the sets of Oh Baby on how to land punches.”
