Power Star Pawan Kalyan and Baahubali fame Rana Daggubati have been roped in to play the lead roles in the Telugu remake of hit Malayalam film, Ayyappanum Koshiyum, which will be helmed by Saagar Chandra.  According to the latest reports, the makers have finalized actors  Pawan Kalyan and Rana Daggubati  to play Prithviraj and Biju Menon’s characters in the Telugu remake of the film.

The shoot of this remake  is likely to start from next year.  Now the makers of Ayyappanum Koshiyum remake brought Tamil star Samuthirakani on the board and he will be seen playing the role of Rana Daggubati’ father.

Samuthirakani was last seen in Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo starring Stylish Star Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde, under the direction of Trivikram Srinivas, which was released this year on the occasion of Sankranthi and now he is all set to work with Pawan Kalyan and Rana Daggubati, in the remake which  is being bankrolled by Sithara Entertainments.  Thaman S will be rendering the tunes of the remake.

Ayyappanum Koshiyum is all about the clash between a retired havildar named Koshy Kurien, played by Prithviraj  and a police officer Ayyappan Nair, played by Biju Menon. The movie AK was praised by audiences and critics alike.
