Sankranthi fever is gripping Tollywood. Though Sankranthi releases have started with Darbar today, actual fever starts on January 11th where Sarileru Neekevvaru is releasing. The film has done a theatrical business of about 103 Crores worldwide which is quite staggering. This is third straight film of Mahesh Babu to have done more than 100 Crores business.
To recover the business, Sarileru Neekevvaru is going to have massive release over the Telugu states. It is said that nearly 75 to 80 percent theaters are allotted to Sarileru Neekevvaru on Day 1 which means that if a village has three theaters, not less than 2 theaters will screen Sarileru Neekevvaru. in few rural areas Sarileru is going to have 100 percent occupancy. In multiplexes too, the film is going to be have maximum number of shows.
With this it is evident that Sarileru Neekevvaru is going to target Non Baahubali records. Though the team hasn’t revealed that it is clear with their intentions. If the film generates positive talk, it will be cake walk for Mahesh Babu to create Non Baahubali records on Day 1 with the massive release they are enjoying.
Sankranthi is termed as the biggest festive season for movies and Sarileru Neekevvaru is thinking to take maximum advantage of that. Hope it achieves its target.
