Thousands of Sathya Sai devotees in Puttaparthi are rejoicing and also celebrated the government’s decision of making Puttaparthi as Sathya Sai district, which symbolizes the people’s dedication towards Lord Sathya Sai Baba. They expressed their gratitude towards AP Chief Minister Jagan yesterday.

Especially, the managing trustee of Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, RJ Rathnakar recognised it as a historic day and extended thanks to the honourable chief minister, including MLAs and MPs who assisted the chief minister’s injunction.
After the formation of new districts, Andhra Pradesh consists of 26 districts across the state, and Puttaparthi becomes the headquarters of the newly formed Sathya Sai district. To explain about Sathya Sai district, it is having a geographical size of about 7,771 kilometers with a population of 17.22 lakh. There are 6 legislative assembly constituencies such as Hindupur, Dharmavaram, Kadiri, Madakasira, Penukonda and Puttaparthi.
The district consists of 3 revenue divisions Kadiri, Penukonda and Puttaparthi and the total revenue mandals are 29, and among them, 13 are in Penukonda, 8 in Kadiri and remaining 8 in Puttaparthi.
As the people in Puttaparthi have been seeking creation of a district after Sathya Sai Baba with Puttaparthi as its headquarters for decades, now, their dreams have come true through AP state government. Rathnakar said that it is a beginning of new epoch.
The government said that it will ease administration and micro management of various people-centric activities, and especially for youth, it will create various avenues for income generation and employment creation to the people around the area.
