Suffering from Myasthenia gravis, an autoimmune disease caused by Communication failure between nerves and muscles, the veteran actor Arun Bali passed away this morning in Mumbai. He was admitted to hospital early this year and also received treatment for months. 

During the media inquiry, Arun’s son Ankush said, “My father left us. He was suffering from Myasthenia gravis. He had mood swings for 2-3 days. He told the caretaker, he has to go to the washroom and after coming out of it, he told me that he wanted to sit down and he hadn’t got up then.”

The 79-year-old actor was last seen in Aamir Khan’s starrer Laal Singh Chaddha and his last film is Goodbye that stars Amitabh Bachchan and Rashmika Mandanna. It was released this Friday. He was survived by a son and three daughters.

Arun Bali appeared in movies like 3 idiots, Kedarnath and Panipat. He essayed King Porus in the year 1991 in a historical drama Chanakya. Later, he played the character of Kunwar Singh in Doordarshan’s very famous show Swabhimaan. In 1989, he made his TV debut with Doosra Kewal.
