Senior director Tatineni Ramarao passes away

Senior director Tatineni Ramarao, who was suffering from different health issues passes away. He breathed his last at midnight in Sriramchandfa Medical College, Chennai. Tatineni Ramarao was 84.

Tatineni Rama Rao has directed 70 Hindi and Telugu feature films between 1966 and 2000. He started his work in the film industry in the late 1950s as the assistant director of his cousin Tatineni Prakash Rao and Kotayya Pratyagatma. He made his directorial debut with the Telugu film Navarathri which was released in 1966.

He was born in 1938 at Kapileswarapuram in the Krishna district.  He is best known for his directorial venture Dorababu, Aalumagalu, Yamagola, Pachani Kapura, Naseeb Apna Apna, Watan Ke Rakhwale, Jeevana Tarangalu, Anuraga Devatha, and Nyayaniki Sankellu, Prateekaar.  He has also produced few Hindi movies such as- Aakhree Raasta. Andha Kanoon, Ek Hi Bhool, John Jani Janardhan and Sansar. His Tamil production ventures are Naan Sigappu Manithan, Adhisaya Piravi, Naattai Thirudathe, Dhill, Youth, Arul, Unakkum Enakkum, Malaikottai, Ya Ya. He also produced a Telugu movie Venky.

The final rituals of  the  Senior director Tatineni Ramarao will take place today evening.
