Samantha Akkineni, who has acted in few woman centric movies, has apparently given thumbs up to essay the role of popular cultural activist and courtesan, Bangalore Nagarathnamma. We have already reported that Singeetam Srinivasa Rao had been preparing to make a bilingual biopic on Carnatic singer Nagarathnamma for a while.
He approached Samantha Akkineni to play the revolutionary scholar and Rangasthalam actress is on the board as she loved the script and the characterization. Singeetham is popular for making the movies across multiple genres in Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi language.
National Award-winning director Singeetham Srinivasa Rao wanted to direct the biopic initially but now the sources say that Singeetham will supervise the process and he will assign the direction responsibility to either one of his associates or a top director. It is known news that recently he was infected with coronavirus. And now he is not ready to take the pressure so veteran filmmaker Singeetham Srinivasa Rao has decided to supervise the direction work of Bangalore Nagaratnamma.
Meanwhile, Samantha Akkineni recently wrapped up the shoot of The Family Man season 2. Majili fame actress is also working on director Ashwin Saravanan’s upcoming untitled horror thriller drama which also features actor Prashanth in an important role.
