Samantha Ruth Prabhu is playing the role of a Princess in her upcoming mythological drama Shaakuntalam, which is helmed by Gunasekhar. Her first look from Gunasekhar’ magnum opus was unveiled recently that grabbed the attention of many. Number of celebrities from Tollywood also applauded Samantha for her Princess look. Samantha worked hard for this film and now the reports are coming that Samantha even reduced a few kilos to look perfect as the princes.
Though Majili girl is lean and fit but to suit her role, she went an extra mile. Gunasekhar who is very impressed with the work of Samantha revealed that she will shock one and all in Shakunthalam.
Shaakuntalam is produced by Neelima Guna and it is one of the much-awaited films of 2022. The entire shoot of the film has been wrapped up and currently it is in the post-production stage.
Although the shoot of Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Guansekhar film is wrapped up, the release date of Shaakuntalam is yet to be announced. The upcoming film is based on the play Shakuntala by Kalidasa and will see actor Malayalam actor Dev Mohan as Dushyanta, the king of Puru Dynasty and Allu Arjun’ daughter Arha as Prince Bharata.
