Yesterday Bollywood badshah Shah Rukh Khan dropped the teaser for his film Jawan. The 1 minute 30 seconds clip featured Shah Rukh with his head and the hands in bandages, in a secret hideout full of machine guns, explosive ammo and some outdated tech to keep him in the loop with the outside world.
While many fans were intrigued by his bandaged and bruised look in the teaser, some wondered if it was too similar to the popular 1990 Hollywood antihero film Darkman.
In the 1990 superhero film, Liam Neeson played the titular antihero, who was left for dead after being burned alive. He wrapped himself up in bandages to hide his disfigured skin and returned to seek revenge on those who tried to kill him. The bandaged look and the intense theme of movie Jawan teaser led many fans to draw the comparisons even though nothing has been revealed about the plot for now. Few are saying that Shah Rukh Khan copied Jawan look from Darkman.
