It is known news that Telugu blockbuster movie Jersey is being made in Bollywood in which Shahid Kapoor is playing the lead role and it is being helmed by Gautam Tinnanuri who made the original. According to the latest update, the makers of Jersey have locked the release date of the film and Shahid Kapoor starrer will be released on 5th November on the occasion of Diwali.
Mrunal Thakur is playing the female lead and she is reprising the role of U Turn fame Shraddha Srinath’ role from the original. Both the actors- Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur confirmed the release date of Jersey by sharing a post on their microblogging page.
Noted producer Dil Raju, Aman Gill and S Naga Vamsi are producing this film in Hindi and they have decided that Diwali will be the perfect release date for Jersey. It is being presented by Allu Aravind. Kabir Singh fame Shahid Kapoor is playing the role of a talented but failed cricketer in Jersey, whose dreams of making it to the Indian cricket team is fulfilled in his 40s.
Recently Shahid Kapoor confirmed that the team completed the shoot of Jersey in about 47 days with safety protocols in place.
