It is known news that Shahid Kapoor is reprising the role of Vijay Deverakonda in his upcoming Bollywood movie Kabir Singh, in which Kiara Advani is playing the female lead. Kabir Singh is remake of Telugu blockbuster movie Arjun Reddy, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga in which Young and talented actor Vijay Deverakonda and Shailini Pandey played the lead roles. Recently during the media interaction, Shahid Kapoor revealed shocking truth that he was required to smoke nearly 20 cigarettes a day. It means Vijay Deverakonda who played the lead role in Arjun Reddy smoked 20 cigarettes a day.
Shahid Kapoor said that playing Kabir Singh was not easy for him. At one point, he was required to smoke nearly 20 cigarettes a day and had to shower for 2 hours after the shoot to rid him of the smell before coming back to his kids.
Shahid Kapoor said, “I don’t endorse smoking at all. However, the role in Kabir Singh required it, as the protagonist uses it to channel his angst and rage.” Arjun Reddy/ Kabir Singh is the story of a medico student who takes to drugs and alcohol after he is separated from his girlfriend in the film.
Recently the makers of Shahid Kapoor starrer Kabir Singh released the teaser which went viral and Vijay Deverakonda also praised the teaser.
Currently Vijay Deverakonda is waiting for the release of his upcoming movie Dear Comrade, which is arriving at the theaters on 30th May.
