Shakeela is in the news headlines once again. This time Shakeela is fired on the members of the Censor board. She alleged that a member or two of the Board has demanded a bribe if her production venture ‘Ladies Not Allowed’ is to be cleared. Shakeela questioned, “Many movies which fall in the adult comedy zone have been certified. Why her production venture ‘Ladies Not Allowed’ is facing the Censor issue? Our film has been turned out by the Censor Board not once but twice so far. This film has been made on borrowed money. So much effort and investment have gone into the making of ‘Ladies Not Allowed’.”

Shakeela added, “We have made an adult comedy ‘Ladies Not Allowed’, not as a family entertainer. Before starting the movie, we have made it clear that we are making an adult comedy. I am told that some Censor Board members are demanding a bribe to clear the film. Our film ‘Ladies Not Allowed’ has been rejected twice.” She further said, “I am not going to tolerate it. I will not be silent. I will raise my voice.”

Shakeela further said, “I borrowed the money from financiers. to make this adult comedy movie ‘Ladies Not Allowed’. When many movies which belong to this genre have been certified in the past, why is only my film is facing this problem? Are The members of Censor board not issuing the censor certificate because I am the producer of this project.”

On the professional front, Shakeela was last seen in Spoof action comedy film Kobbari Matta, in which Sampoornesh Babu played the roles of three generations- Paparayudu, Pedarayudu, and Androyudu. Shakeela played the role of Pandu in this film.

In the past, Shakeela has acted in many B grade movies and also in soft-p*rn movies. One of her big hit films was Kinnarathumbikal in Malayalam, which brought her into limelight and resulted in an unheard of craze for her from youngsters to the old.
