Indrajit Lankesh’ directorial venture Shakeela biopic, in which Richa Chadha is playing the titular role, had created a lot of buzz on the internet when it was announced. The director Indrajit Lankesh stated that the Shakeela biopic would be a women centric subject and had a good message for the audience.
The movie which is produced by Magic Cinemas has been dubbed in various languages, has completed production work. According to the makers, Shakeela biopic has completed the censor formalities and is ready to hit the theatres once the lockdown curbs ease.
Shakeela biopic director also hinted that he is in talks with OTT platforms and mulling the option of releasing Shakeela biopic on Netflix. It is also being heard that an MNC has bagged the dubbing rights of Richa Chadha starrer Shakila biopic in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.
Apart from Richa Chadha, Shakeela biopic also has Pankaj Tripathi, Ester Noronha and Rajeev Pillai in the crucial roles. The sources say that the makers have not taken a firm decision on the platform they’ll be releasing it on but an announcement is expected soon. The director Indrajit Lankesh believes that an OTT release will help the film Shakeela biopic reach a wider audience and guarantee its success.
