The young and happening actor Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey won the hearts of the movie lovers with their wonderful performance in Arjun Reddy which was directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The movie was a blockbuster at the box office. Despite controversies the film went on to fare brilliantly at the box office.
It was lauded for its bold, unusual plot and for the lead star’s performances. But as every casting story goes, Vijay and Shalini were not only choices In the film world, rejecting a script is common knowledge but the very refusal, takes an interesting turn when the movie in question goes on to become a blockbuster! Sharwanand was in fact approached for this story but he rejected the offer. Shalini Padney was also not the first choice of Arjun Reddy. Initially the makers wanted to rope Parvathi Nair to play the female lead in Arjun Reddy.
In a recent interview, Parvathi Nair admitted she was apprehensive of the intimate scenes. Also, at the time it seemed to be an ordinary love story to her. The actress said, “It is a beautiful film which I should not have missed.”
Parvathi Nair is known for acting in versatile actor Kamal Haasan starrer Uttama Villain and Thala Ajith’s Yennai Arindhaal.
