Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor who made her debut in Telugu film industry with action thriller movie Saaho, has been picking up interesting films in her career. The actress has been looking to sign challenging roles. Now according to the latest update, Shraddha Kapoor has signed a trilogy which will be based on the television show Naagin.
Shraddha Kapoor will be seen essaying the role of Ichhadhaari Nagin in the film which will be made in three parts. The upcoming film is titled Nagin and will be directed by Vishal Furia and bankrolled by Nikhil Dwivedi.
The Nagin film will be made as a trilogy and will essentially be a love story. The trilogy will marry Indian folklore with CGI to cater to Indian audience. Furia is known for his Marathi film Lapachhapi and he is also directing the Hindi remake of the film Choori.
Shraddha Kapoor who is very excited about this project said, “It’s an absolute delight for me to essay the role of a nagin on screen. I have grown up watching and idolizing Sridevi ma’am’s Nagina and Nigahen and always wanted to play similar role rooted in Indian traditional folklore.”
