Shraddha Srinath who became popular for delivering successful movie U Turn, made her Telugu debut with Natural Star Nani starrer sport based drama Jersey, which has hit the theaters yesterday on 19th April, and is running successfully at the box office. Recently, during the promotions activities of Jersey, the actress shocked everyone by choosing Telugu actor Nani over KGF actor Yash. Shraddha Srinath said, “As a star, I have worked with Nani, who is popular for natural performnace. Hence, I would choose him over Yash. But, Yash has also worked hard to achieve this stardom. I know how he struggled as TV actor before moving to movies. He’s showcased the potential of Kannada films to the entire world.” As Shraddha Srinath refused to act with Yash, she has insulted Yash, who delivered blockbuster movie KGF, directed by Prasanth Neel. This is the first time, Shraddha Srinath and Nani worked together for a movie. Jersey marked her debut in Telugu.
Shraddha Srinth justified her statement by saying, “I have met Yash only once. I do not know him well as a person. And that is the main reason. I would choose Nani.”
When Shraddha Srinath was asked, which industry she likes the most among Sandalwood and Tollywood, she said, “I like all the film industries. I treat work professionally. Hence, I wouldn’t choose between them. I wouldn’t like to choose one film industry and lose my fans.”
Nani and Shraddha Srinath’ Jersey is directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri and produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi under his production banner Sithara entertainments. The film also has other stars Sathyaraj, Brahmaji and Ronit Kamra in key roles.
On the other-side, Yash is getting ready to join the sets of his upcoming film KGF Chapter 2. Recently Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy warned KGF Star Yash to stay away from the politics. According to media reports, Kumaraswamy warned him during a rally after finding Yash campaigning for Sumalatha.
