According to the latest buzz in the film industry, Shraddha Srinath is going to replace Samantha Akkineni in upcoming sequel of Irumbu Thirai/ Abhimanyudu. Vishal starrer Irumbu Thirai with director PS Mithran was one of the best Tamil films in 2018. Now, the actor is planning to come up with a sequel to it. But this time Samantha Akkineni will not play the female lead in Irumbu Thirai 2. The makers are planning to bring Shraddha Srinath on the board to play the female lead.
It is being heard that Vishal will act in and produce Irumbu Thirai 2 after he wraps up his film with Sundar C. However, the sequel of Irumbu Thirai will not be directed by PS Mithran, who was at the helm of the original. The sources close to the team unit reveal that the film will be directed by Anand, a former associate to director Ezhil. It is said that the sequel will have the flavour of Irumbu Thirai and hence, Vishal suggested Irumbu Thirai 2 as the title of this upcoming drama.
Despite a delay in its release, Vishal starrer action drama Ayogya has received a positive opening. Following this, Vishal will reportedly begin shooting for the sequel to his hit 2018 film Irumbu Thirai in which Jersey girl Shraddha Srinath will play the female lead.
