Story: Bala Gangadhar Tilak (Dhanush) aka Balu is a junior maths lecturer. He goes to a junior college in a village called Siripuram to teach maths. Balu comes to that college with the hope that if all the students there study to pass, he will be promoted as a Senior Maths Lecturer. However, conditions are not favorable for Balu. However, with his words and actions, he influences the students of Siripuram. What are the changes in Balu’s life after some dramatic developments?, What is the role of TEI Chairman Tripathi (Samuthirakani) in this? What is Balu’s love track with Meenakshi (Samyukta Menon)? To get the answers of these, one should watch the movie Sir on silver screen.

Performance: Dhanush’s performance in the role of lecturer is amazing. His performance in the scene where he leaves the town is very good. His gestures in the climax are very impressive. Samyuktha Menon is good in her role, and she does her part well. Her scenes with Dhanush are good. Sumanth, Malayalam actor Harish Paradi, Tamil actor Aadukalam Naren, Samuthirakani, Tanikella Bharani, Sai Kumar and the rest of the actors who play the key roles are fine. Director Venky Atluri’s performance is the highlight of the film.
Technical: Sir which is based on the idea that education changes life, education changes financial situation, talks about the greatness of education. In one word, this is a movie that reinvents education. Along with the realistic elements, the story is very realistic and the interest in the film increases. Also, what is the behavior of students from depressed communities, what is the pressure of society on them? Director Venky has shown such aspects in the movie. Some of his dialogues are also very good and are laced with his signature punch lines. The music by GV Prakash is good, especially the songs. The BGM is also quite good and adds to the proceedings of the film. Cinematography work is good as well, and the production values are rich. The editing could have been much better.
Analysis: Every scene where education changes life and everyone should get education is very good. Dhanush’s performance is also amazing. Commercial elements are missing in the movie. But the emotion and message in the movie is very impressive. Overall this movie Sir is impressive.
