Mrunal Thakur who was last seen playing the female lead in Sita Ramam, is all set for his next project ‘Pooja Meri Jaan’ which also has Huma Qureshi. Written by Kanishka and Navjot Gulati, the thriller Pooja Meri Jaan stars Mrunal Thakur, Vikram Singh Chauhan, Huma Qureshi, and Vijay Raaz. It is directed by Navjot Gulati and co-directed by Vipasha Arvind, whereas it is backed by Vijan’s Maddock Films and filmmaker Amar Kaushik.

Huma Qureshi will be seen in the role of Sana and Mrunal Thakur as Pooja.
Like ‘Sita Ramam’, Mrunal Thakur will be seen playing the titular role in her next film. The actress said, “The character I play is completely different from my role in Dulquer Salmaan starrer Sita Ramam. The way Pooja dresses is the way I talk, it’s a whole new person I created.”
Mrunal Thakur was also seen playing a titular role in the international film Love Sonia. In 2022, she acted in sport based drama Jersey which had Shahid Kapoor in the lead role. She made her Telugu film debut opposite Dulquer Salmaan in Hanu Raghavapudi’s magnum opus Sita Ramam which was a blockbuster at the box office.
