On Wednesday morning, actor Sivaji has been detained by the Cyberabad police at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport on. Cyberabad police issued Shivaji several notices to attend the interrogation in a case related to TV9 and Alanda Media but Shivaji has been evading to be in touch with police. The cop said he was absconding.
Finally today morning, the cops took him into custody at the Hyderabad airport when he was leaving the country. He has been transferred to the cyber crime police station and a further investigation will be done today.
Sivaji had already said bye bye to the film industry sometime back and was seen in several political activities.
It is heard that Shivaji was trying to run away to America, when he was caught by the police. The police have already issued look-out notices for TV9 former CEO Ravi Prakash and Shivaji and the airport officials immediately informed the Cyberabad police when Shivaji tried to board a USA flight probably to attend TANA meeting.
The police said that they didn’t arrest Shivaji but stopped him running away from India. He will be arrested based on court orders but before that they will interrogate the actor turned politician in the case filed by Alanda Media.
Sivaji is accused of being a co-conspirator along with TV9 former CEO Ravi Prakash for allegedly fraudulently acquiring 40,000 shares of TV9.
