Amethi MP, Union Women Child Welfare and Minority Affairs Minister Smriti Irani recently countered the Congress party. Congress party started campaigning with posters saying that Amethi MP (Smriti Irani) was not seen. Union Minister Smriti, who was on a visit to the constituency on Wednesday, responded to this campaign. Retweeting this tweet, Smriti mentioned that she had just left Sir Sira village under Salon Vidhan Sabha, Amethi constituency and was heading towards Dhur Napur.

If Amethi Constituency is looking for a former MP, she sarcastically suggested that they should contact US. The minister made these comments while referring to former Congress MP Rahul Gandhi. It is known that former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi, who contested from Amethi constituency in the last general election, was defeated.  However, Rahul Gandhi entered the Parliament after winning from Wayanad in Kerala. Recently Rahul lost his membership after being convicted in a case. He is currently in America as part of a six-day tour.
