Kerala Police registered a case against the Malayalam actor and producer Vijay Babu for the harassment. Ernakulam South Police has registered the case on a woman’s complaint against the south actor. According to the police, the complaint was received on 22nd April. The complainant (lady) is a native of Kozhikode district.
The lady said that she has been harassed by Vijay Babu in a flat in Kochi, on the pretext of offering her roles in movies. She has alleged that the offence was repeated by Vijay Babu more than once. According to the latest report, the police are yet to quiz or arrest the actor and producer Vijay Babu.
On the otherside, Vijay Babu went public on his social media handle and claimed that he is the real victim in the case. During the social media live session, he has also named the lady, who has filed the complaint.
Vijay Babu added that he would not let her go away so easily and would file a counter case which would not be on small scale. According to him, he can share the proof he has but will not do it because he doesn’t want to cause damage to his family.
Vijay Babu is the founder of ‘Friday Film House’- the production company. He also produced Sufiyum Sujatayum under his banner Friday Film House. It was the first Malayalam film to have a direct release on an OTT platform, Amazon Prime Video. Vijay Babu is best known for bankrolling many experimental films and supporting upcoming filmmakers in the Malayalam film industry.
