Tammineni Sitaram, the Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker told to the media that they had issued the notices to the TV channels which are telecasting the programmes in contravention of Assembly regulations. On to this issue, he further questioned the channel management as how they would telecast such against programmes despite knowing the rules.
He quipped saying there were some magnificent bills introduced in the house as, “You can wake up a person who is sleeping, but you cannot do anything when one is pretending to sleep,”
He further added saying, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has instructed the Business Advisory Council (BAC) to have a comprehensive debate on this so that one can understand its entirety. Speaker further said, Jagan has also instructed to extend the assembly meetings for three or four days on this.
Sitaraman concluded by saying, “I will ensure that the Anti-Defection Law will be enforced and there will be no compromise about party mergers. I will not act against rules and regulations”
