Sri Reddy who has been in news in recent times by posting comments on social media sites on casting couch and has also revealed many celebrities’ names  including Abhiram Daggubati, Kona  Venkat, Koratala Siva and other, appreciated  recently released woman centric movie Mahanati and actress Keerthy Suresh who portrayed the role of Savitri in the directorial venture of Nag Ashwin.

 Sri Reddy wrote on the wall of Facebook, “ We should really appriciate keerthi Suresh efforts in “mahaanati”..hats off to nag ashwin garu u made it a block buster..except tears I dn hv words to say anything..”

 Keerthy Suresh got the golden opportunity to live the life of greatest actress of Southern Cinema in Mahanati. Director Nag Ashwin deserves  the complete credit because this biopic is impossible without him.

 Keerthy Suresh was not the first choice to play the lead role in Mahanati. It is heard that Samantha Akkineni, who recently got married to Akkineni Naga Chaitanya, was the original choice. Mahanati starring Dulquer Salmaan as Gemini Ganesan, who married Savitri, Mohan Babu as SV Ranga Rao, Vijay Devarakonda, Shalini Pandey, Prakash Raj and others.

 According to the latest update, Sri Reddy was booked by the Banjara Hills police in Hyderabad for allegedly preventing police officers from discharging their duties. This came a day after a group of women along with controversial actress  Sri Reddy had tried to assault an accused, Srisanth Reddy, inside the police station.

 On Sunday, Sri Reddy opened up about sexual hararshment in a event conducted at Lamakaan. Sri Reddy said, “Telugu Film Industry does not respect actresses, they are only showpieces in movies.” Sri Reddy further said,  “Almost all Tollywood directors have asked for sexual favours. Most actresses are not coming out and  raising their voices. They are fearing for their reputation and career. There is sexism even in pay. If an actor is paid Rs 10 Cr, actresses will get hardly a  Cr.”
