Sri Reddy‘s casting couch controversy created a stir in Telugu Film Industry. It is known news that recently, Tollywood announced various preventive measures and detailed guidelines to create a safe working place for women. Sri Reddy’s protests against casting couch and s*xual exploitation forced the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce (TFCC) to set up a s*xual harassment redressal panel. Later TFCC released a statement and said, as per the Vishaka guidelines, it will form the CASH (Committee Against S*xual Harassment) and the committee will have 20 members, including 10 members from the film industry and 10 from various sections of the society, including lawyers, doctors, NGOs and government officials. Now once again, Sri Reddy has raised her voice and asked that when can she expect CASH Committees. Sri Reddy who is popular for using abusive and dirty languages on social media sites, took to her Facebook today morning and wrote, “I just wanted know, in Tamil and telugu movie industries when can we expect cash commitees??why maa nd nadiagar sangam showing lot of irresponsibility?? is it dignity of labour??where is respect of the women??how many days we wl suffer like this??how many days we should suffer with big people d**ks??so d**ks are powerful,victims va***as dnt hv any value in this world..we wl cal as a prostitute by this world..great achievements india.”
The Controversial Telugu actress Sri Reddy, came into national spotlight after she decided to strip on a street to protest against casting couch in Tollywood. She stripped in front of the Telugu Film Chambers of Commerce and claimed the industry bigwigs hire female artists from outside both Telugu states because they put up with the industry’s “demands”.
Sri Reddy alleged, “The actresses from other states would go to any extent to satisfy the big people in Telugu Film Industry, whereas the local artistes are not so bold and they can’t do it.” After revealing few names from Tollywood, now Sri Reddy has shifted her focus to Kollywood. She stays active on social media and used to attack on celebrities via her posts.
