Janhvi Kapoor, the daughter of late actress made her debut with Shashank Khaitan’s Dhadak, it’s raining films for Janhvi Kapoor. Currently the star daughter has a number of projects in her kitty including IAF officer Gunjan Saxena’s biopic Kargil Girl, comedy-horror Roohi Afza, Takth and Karan Zohar’s Dostana 2. In Rooh Afza, she will be seen playing dual roles, one of which is a deglamorous one. In Dostana 2, Janhvi Kapoor and Kartik Aaryan will be sharing screen space, which will also talk about homose*uality like the first film.
Recently in an interview, Janhvi Kapoor said, “I’m really excited to be a part of this film which will deal with homose*uality! Not just because of what it’s trying to say but also because the story is just so much fun. I am very happy we’re talking about this subject more and more in cinema and normalising it.”
On the other-side Karan Johar said, “I am excited to take the Dostana franchise forward with KartikAryan and Janhvi Kapoor, and can’t wait to create some desi boy-girl madness with them.”
Dostana 2 is the sequel to Dostana in which Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham and Priyanka Chopra played the lead role. Dostana was appreciated for its unique concept and initiating a dialogue on homose*uality in the film industry.
