Actress Anju said that when she was one and a half years old, her mother took her to a film hundred day celebration. There, director Mahendran saw the girl as very cute and said that he would give her an opportunity as a child artist in movies. Anju says that her career started as a child actress. She said that she grew up as a child actress and acted in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Telugu. But when she was 17 years old, she went to Bangalore for a Kannada film. She said that Prabhakaran, who was already a star hero, liked her. He also proposed Anju for marriage.
But he had already been married three times, she said that he had not told her that he had a wife and children, and that he had pressured her to marry him by hiding that fact. Anju married hero Prabhakaran in 1996 and got divorced within a year. They have a son Arjun Prabhakaran. Tiger Prabhakaran passed away in the year 2001.
