Few days ago, the versatile actor and founder of the political party Makkal Needhi Maiam – Kamal Haasan and Vijay Sethupathi surprised their fans by coming together on an Instagram live session for a YouTube channel.  They discussed various issues pertaining to cinema and politics but after few days their video is back in the news for all the wrong reasons. Kamal Haasan‘s comment on legendary composer Tyagaraja, during his conversation with Vijay Sethupathi, didn’t go down well with a section of Carnatic musicians.

Coming on the video, Kamal Haasan was seen speaking Tyagaraja’ life to Vijay Sethupathi and explained that any artiste will go through a rough patch in life both, financially and personally. Kamal Haasan added, “Tyagaraja was ‘begging in praise of Lord Rama’. Kamal Haasan’ comment irked the sentiments of the Carnatic music fraternity.
