According to the latest report, the Bollywood film maker Anurag Kashyap hugged Pa Ranjith and spoke highly of him after watching Natchathiram Nagargiradhu in Mumbai. The film is gearing up for the grand releases on 31st August. The movie starring Kalidas Jayaram, Dushara Vijayan, Hari Krishnan, Vinoth and others in the important roles.
The team arranged a special show for celebrities yesterday in Mumbai. Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap is one of the attendees and post the show, he hugged and showered praises on Pa Ranjit for making such a wonderful movie. The 6th film by filmmaker Pa Ranjith, who has been a towering figure in a socio-political and cultural movement in Kollywood, is an exploration of the idea of love and the politics behind it. Perhaps the first mainstream Tamil film to represent queer love, Natchathiram Nagargiradhu is a film, Pa Ranjith believes, that will make a lot of people uncomfortable for mirroring the truth. All the acctors in the film are from a theatre background. This film looks into the concept of the caste and how it affects love.
