The mystical thriller Virupaksha starring Sai Dharam Tej and Samyuktha Menon was a blockbuster at the box office. The movie, which is helmed by Karthik Varma Dandu, was released in theaters and later on OTT, has  also turned out to be a hit.

Recently during an interview, the  director Karthik Varma Dandu shared an interesting fact about this drama. He revealed that according to his original story, Parvathy played by Shyamala was the main culprit in the movie. However, creative director Sukumar, who served as the screenwriter for Virupaksha, suggested that Samyuktha Menon  be the culprit instead. This caused a major change in the story and screenplay of this film.

Virupaksha revolves around a village named Rudravanam. The village is haunted by  the evil force that kills villagers mysteriously.  Sai Dharam Tej who plays the lead role, is firm believer in science, and logic comes to the village and decides to solve the mystery.

Apart from lead actors, the movie also has Shyamala, Brahmaji, Sunil, Rajiv Kanakala, Ajay, Sai Chand,  Soniya Singh, and Ravi Krishna in cruciaa roles.

Sai Dharam Tej and Samyuktha Menon  starrer Virupaksha is produced by BVSN Prasad under the SVCC banner whereas it has the music by Ajaneesh Loknath.
