Veteran actress and Mandya Lok Sabha MP Sumalatha Ambareesh tested +ive for Coronavirus. She is in home quarantine at the moment. This news is confirmed by Sumalatha herself as she took to her twitter and revealed that the test is positive with mild symptoms and she has been advised home treatment.
The Independent MP from Mandya in Karnataka, Sumalatha said that she had given a list of people that she had come in contact with to the concerned authorities for the purpose of contact tracing. The actress also revealed that Since she has been visiting Coronavirus hotspots, she decided to get tested for the Covid-19.
Sumalatha also urged the people to voluntarily report themselves to officials if they had come in contact with her in the recent past. MP added that she is confident of overcoming the disease as she has a strong immunity and the blessings of the people. Bengaluru has crossed 10,000 mark in Coronavirus cases.
Mandya Lok Sabha MP Sumalatha Ambareesh Sumalatha is the wife of late Kannada matinee idol Ambareesh. She contested Lok Sabha elections in the year 2019 from her husband’ Mandya seat. She had defeated JDS candidate Nikhil Kumar and won the seat with a stunning victory.
