In the wake of India’ deepening mistrust of all things China amid a bitter border feud, Narendra Modi’ government executed a ban on 59 Chinese apps in a dramatic move.  The top social media platforms such as TikTok, Helo and WeChat came under the ambit of the ban, giving a serious jolt to China’s dream of setting up a Digital Silk Route.

This  ban includes the apps from some of the largest Chinese technology companies, including Baidu, Tencent, Alibaba, Bytedance, Xiaomi, YY Inc and Lenovo, which have been  building up user bases of millions in India. Now many celebrities including Sundeep Kishan, Nikhil Siddharth as well as commoners are sharing their opinion over the decision of ban of TikTok app in India. Recently, Nikhil Siddhartha reacted and said that the ban shouldn’t have been imposed.

 Nikhil Siddharth said, “TIKTOK shouldn’t be banned, as long as they respect our country. our life and democracy.” After this  Sundeep Kishan took to his Twitter and responded to Nikhil Siddharth’ tweet. He justified the Indian government’ decision of banning the Chinese apps as he said on Twitter, “My instant reaction was the same but Banning these apps is a necessary and the bold move.”

Sundeep Kishan further said , “Tik Tok was evaluated as a $75 Billion company in January 2020  and is one of the Top tax payers in China. We are much funding a Nation China which is attacking us. It’s actually a cool app which should have had better security and privacy features. Unfortunate for them to lose our country India.”
