It has taken comedian Sunil nearly two decades to move from being a sidekick to kicking the hero. Sunil is a bonafide star who is yet to get his due in Telugu cinema. In the early 2000s, when  Sunil  was a fresh face, Brahmanandam and MS Narayana were already fixtures in movies.  Sunil used to play the role of hero’ best friend.

He is usually cast as the guy who’d lend his shoulder to the male lead during difficult times, or as the target of hilarious pranks. Later he turned actor and played the lead role in Andala Ramudu  which was released in 2006. He was last seen playing a villain in Color Photo. Now according to the latest update, Sunil is going to turn director.

Sunil has been planning to direct a film for the past few years and now finally he chose a Marathi film which will be remade in Telugu. Sunil and his team bought the  remake rights of a Marathi film and  currently the team is busy in the script work.  Noted producer is on the board to invest in the project.

Meanwhile Sunil is playing the lead role in  a film that went on floors recently. Helmed  by VN Aditya, it is bankrolled by Anil Sunkara under his ‘AK Entertainments banner.
