Surender Reddys is helming a film Agent in which Akhil Akkineni is playing the lead role. Touted to be a high budget stylish spy thriller, ‘Agent’ will feature debutant Sakshi Vaidya opposite the young actor  Akhil Akkineni.  Akhil is the son of Akkineni Nagarjuna and the grandson of late thespian Akkineni Nageswara Rao.  As the shoot begins, the Agent team released  the first look poster of Akhil from the film, in which the actor is flaunting his muscular physique with an eight-pack.  The reports are coming that Akhil will be seen in a never-before avatar in this movie.

It is known that the makers  of Agent initially wanted to rope Mohan Lal to play the crucial role in Agent but as the actor was busy in his ongoing projects and was not able to allot the date for the shooting, the role fell in the lap of Mammootty. The Malayaalam star is getting Rs 3 cr as remuneration to act in this film.
