Arundhati was as dark fantasy horror film directed by Kodi Ramakrishna and the movie starring Anushka Shetty, Sonu Sood, Arjan Bajwa, Manorama and Sayaji Shinde. The film which was released in 2009 to positive reviews and emerged as a commercial success, is now going to Bollywood. If ongoing buzz in media and film industry is to be believed, Kareena Kapoor Khan will play the female lead role and she will reprise the role of Anushka Shetty in the Hindi remake of Arundhati.
The sources say that the two filmmakers with an elaborate filmography in Bollywood have purchased the Hindi remake rights of Arundhati. Kareena Kapoor Khan might be approached for this Arundhati remake. However, if her dates do not work out, the makers might turn to Anushka Sharma as well.”
Kareena Kapoor Khan has already wrapped up her upcoming projects- Good Newz and Angrezi Medium and is getting ready to join the sets of Karan Johar’ multi-starrer Takht which will go on floors in the year 2020. Meanwhile, Anushka Sharma is currently on a break. Now we have to wait and see who will essay the role of Anushka Shetty in Arundhati Hindi remake.
On the other side, currently Anushka Shetty is waiting for the release of her movie Sye Raa in which Chiranjeevi is playing the lead role.
