S*x racket (Prostitution racket) was busted in Hyderabad with the arrest of 2 persons, the police said. The arrests were made during raids in SR Nagar and the police have also seized Rs 10,500 cash. According to the latest report, the Task Force Commissioner’s team raided a brothel house on Thursday at SR Nagar and arrested two people. The police team also rescued a woman who was forced into prostitution.
This sudden raid was conducted after the police received a tip-off in SR Nagar and caught Manepally Ravi Kiran, 35, of Kalyan Nagar and the native of Rajahmundry in Andhra Pradesh. The police has also arrested a customer Achanta Krishna Sagar, 27, of Jamia Osmania.
According to DCP, Task Force, P Radhakrishna Rao, Manepally Ravi Kiran (35) of Kalyan Nagar visited the city for a job but he failed to get a job. As he did not have enough money for survival, he decided to start new business and rent a house in Kalyan Nagar, SR Nagar, Hyderabad for Rs 15,000 per month and started to run the brothel with women from West Bengal. According to the police report, Manepally Ravi Kiran used to bring the women from West Bengal on an agreement of paying Rs 70,000 for 15 days.
Currently both Manepally Ravi Kiran and the customer Achanta Krishna Sagar are in police custody.
