It is known news that Bollywood Megastar Amitabh Bachchan aka Big B is also the part of Tollywood Megastar Chiranjeevi starrer upcoming historic and war drama Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, which is helmed by Surender Reddy and is bankrolled by Ram Charan under the banner of Konidela productions. Amitabh Bachchan is suffering from liver cirrhosis even though he doesn’t drink alcohol. According to Big B, he contracted the disease after his near fatal accident while shooting for the movie Coolie in 1982.
Amitabh Bachchan met with the accident when he was performing an action sequence in the film Coolie. His surgery required a lot of blood. Two hundred people donated blood to Big B and 60 bottles of blood were collected and injected in the actor. Some of the blood from an unknown donor was infected with Australian antigen Hepatitis.
Amitabh Bachchan said, “It was an unknown hepatitis in 1982 and due to the urgency of the matter, without any test, the doctor injected the blood in my body, which attacked my liver.”
Amitabh Bachchan added, “The 75 percent of my liver is gone but because I was able to detect it even after a period of 20 years. I am still surviving on 25 percent.” He further said, “If I can survive with 25 % of my liver, there are others who survive even with 12 %.”
